Harry Nelson is the author of The United States of Opioids: A Prescription for Liberating a Nation in Pain  (2019) and co-author of From ObamaCare to TrumpCare: Why You Should Care. He is the founder of Nelson Hardiman, L.A.’s largest healthcare/life science law firm (with 30 lawyers), more than half of whom devote some or most of their time to work on addiction treatment and behavioral health. He also chairs the board of the Behavioral Health Association of Providers (BHAP), an industry trade group focused on education and advocacy for the treatment community.

In this conversation, Harry and Ricky discuss Harry’s trajectory from health care attorney to expert on the opioid epidemic.  Harry brings his unique perspective to what has become the largest drug epidemic in US history.
